Buying a home is one of the biggest purchases most Canadians will make in their lifetime.
Typically when you’re looking at a place you start with the things you like. You look at the positive points like, the character, or location of the home. But when you’re making a decision of whether to buy or not you must be much more thorough and critical.
Here are some general tips for home buyers:
- Make your offer subject to an inspection by a government licensed inspector.
- Take the time to come to the inspection.
- Get to know the home you’re buying.
- Ask your home inspector questions.
We’ve had extensive experience in identifying signs that may indicate the home being inspected could have been used for illegal activities such as a grow-op. If this comes up during the home inspection we’ll bring it to you attention.
Cornerstone Building Inspections is a registered home inspector and member of the Home Inspectors Association of British Columbia. You will receive the inspection report right there, on-site, after the inspection is finished.
